Saluting A Legend: Mrs. Marcia Detry Fogah

The Jessie Ripoll Primary family applauds our outgoing principal Mrs. Marcia Detry Fogah for her dedication and invaluable contribution in the field of education.

Her discipline, strength of character, love, respect and commitment to the Jessie Ripoll Primary School is well known at home and abroad.

Mrs. Detry Fogah has served the institution for over 37 years in various capacities ranging from a grade three teacher to vice principal, principal and a mentor to many.

Monday April 30, 2018 marks the end of the transition period between herself and the new principal Mr. O'neil Stevens.

We wish for her God's richest blessings in all her future endeavours.

    Oh my God, the reign of a queen “Me. Detry”. She has taught me so much growing under her supervision. She was my grade 3 teacher (301) at the time, Ms. Detry taught me that hard work pays off and discipline goes a far way and the same has been imparted on my son’s and the respect goes a long way.     My grade three teacher from way back in 1978, then principal to my two boys (2006 – 2016), an outstanding educator, mother to many, a disciplinarian in every aspects of the word, a woman of God. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the person I am today, the values you helped to instill in both my two sons, my sister and myself.

    We wish you every success in whatever you do, but first get some much needed rest, recreation and most importantly, you can now spend time with Mr. Fogah?.
